I am Noah Schick

Artist Bio

Noah is a lifelong artist interested in the visual world in almost all media. He has spent his life trying to observe and learn. His inquisitive mind led him to begin school in science but the pull that art had always had on him convinced him to change directions. Now he tries to focus on making art which gives us new sometimes seemingly impossible ways of seeing reality. His focuses are in algorithmic art, animation and graphic design but also uses pen and paper for illustration. 

Artist Statement

I have always been drawn to visual media, from a young age I would draw on things and use the computer to find works of painting and photography.  Cartoons, flash games and visits to the MET and MOMA were big early inspirations for me. I have always appreciated visual beauty and was soon inspired to learn about a variety of digital arts. Apart from dabbling with it as a child my first experience diving in was at HVCC’s digital media program. This program broadened my interest further into algorithmic art and coding.  I like to use coding as a tool for making all kinds of art anywhere from surrealistic landscapes to the completely abstract. Another major interest of mine is business and I'm currently working on launching an entertainment business with my three roommates. Branding and merchandise is a big focus now in my work. I draw on knowledge with the adobe suite and coding tools to make designs which can be used as logos or  on merchandise.
